Hail damage · insurance claim · full replacement · September 2023
The homeowner wanted to understand every step before he signed anything
He had hail damage and his carrier was already behind him, but he wanted to follow the job technically and financially, not just be handed a number. Chris, the consultant on the job, walked him through exactly what went into the estimate before anything started. Once the crew was on the roof, some minor catches turned up that nobody could have seen from the ground.
Those extras were absorbed as a matter of policy rather than coming back as a change order. Zach, the foreman, kept him posted on progress and on the problems as they came up, through the install and the inspection. Chris then came back and inspected it a second time himself.
After the job closed there was a snag processing the insurance check. That got worked through patiently until he was able to make final payment.
“All jobs have pop-up problems. I understand this and was prepared for snags. Some minor catches were discovered on my roof, but as a matter of policy, CE absorbed the expense.”
